Salary: £31,307 - 31,307 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering IM&T solutions and associated architecture deliverables.
• Proven knowledge and experience working within architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Understanding of the service lifecycle, with ITIL knowledge advantageous.
• Hands-on experience gathering and analysing business and system requirements.
• Proven experience in the design and development of information systems.
• Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.
• Technical knowledge of a range of IM&T business systems, from ERPs through procurement to supplier management.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Very good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong architecture and technical support documentation skills.
• Understanding of IM&T/software development lifecycles, including Agile methodologies, reviews, policies, standards, and governance processes.
• Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
• Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at all business levels and present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience providing technical leadership, such as acting as a Project Technical Authority or Project Engineering Manager.
• Relevant IT, engineering, or business degree.
• Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience, such as HNC or HND.
• Membership, chartered status, or fellowship of a recognised IT and/or Engineering society is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and assure information systems that support core organisational functions within key account or functional areas.
• Define robust and cost-effective solution architectures and designs to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
• Deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in line with our Shared Services Enterprise IT standards and policies.
• Work across multiple projects at any one time, depending on project size and complexity.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and associated roles across business change, analysis, service design, security, and product development.
• Communicate solution designs effectively to a wide audience, including development and test teams, reviewers, business management, and customers.
• Produce and maintain architecture and technical support documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and support during project delivery.
• Work with stakeholders at all business levels to shape and present solution approaches in clear, accessible language.
• Ensure designs are aligned to governance processes, policies, standards, and architecture frameworks.

This role is mainly remote, with occasional travel to Preston or Frimley, and is offered on an umbrella basis inside IR35 at £648.31 per day. You will join our Shared Services Enterprise IT Architecture area, working on important solutions that support core organisational functions and deliver value across the business.
