Jr. Ruby On Rails Developer - Remote or Grand Rapids

The Jr. Ruby on Rails Developer is responsible for developing new applications, enhancing existing applications, and interfacing with a legacy ERP system. The Jr.

Ruby on Rails Developer works closely with the Business Systems Manager, Information Systems team, and IT Manager to create applications that improve productivity across the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Write, clean, maintainable, and efficient codeDesign robust, scalable, and secure featuresAnalyzes business application requirements and user specificationsWorks closely with legacy ERP developers to integrate and interface ERP functionality on the Ruby platformAssists in writing Statements of Work for application programmingEnsures that application development aligns with Statement of Work and minimizes scope creepEstimates project timelines, identifies complexity, and communicates effectively in all phases of the projectRevises and updates applications and documentation as requiredDocuments code and systemsPerforms any other task as requested by ManagerJob Requirements B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred2+ Years of Ruby on Rails experience required2+ Years of Vue.js or similar front end frameworkExperience with Git, GitLab, or GitHubExperience with test-driven development a plusKnowledge of Linux and command line toolsProficiency with ERP/MRP Systems and other Database programs, preferredKnowledge of network concepts and principles including operating systems, security, and advanced protocolExperience in a manufacturing environment, preferredEffective teamwork and collaborationStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated critical thinking and analysisStrong project management skills About our Company Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is an industry leader in providing high-reliability electronic systems for Aerospace and Defense companies across the globe.
