FinOps and SAM Practice Lead

Salary: £74,000 - 91,000 per year

Requirements

• 10+ years in Software Asset Management, FinOps, or cloud economics
• A track record of building a services business, not only running one
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft licensing and AWS or Azure consumption management
• Experience in cloud cost optimisation and licensing optimisation
• Knowledge of FinOps Foundation practices
• Commercial credibility with enterprise customers and experience in EMEA markets
• Tokenomics experience is desirable
• ITAM tooling experience is desirable
• Managed services background is desirable
• Commercially minded and comfortable operating without an existing structure
• Executive presence and the ability to influence without direct authority

Responsibilities

• Build our FinOps, SAM, and Tokenomics offerings into packaged, repeatable services
• Define our consulting and managed service motions, including the business case for each
• Coach our sales teams and support strategic opportunities directly, including executive client meetings
• Produce customer-facing collateral and account targeting strategies
• Build relationships with Microsoft, AWS, and other cloud and software vendors
• Align partner incentives, identify co-sell opportunities, and use vendor-funded programmes
• Set delivery standards, governance frameworks, and success metrics
• Hand engagements cleanly into operations
• Develop an EMEA FinOps growth strategy and a defined SAM and FinOps service catalogue
• Create go-to-market plans for the UK and Netherlands with qualified pipeline behind them
• Assess our current delivery capability and design a scalable model to close the gaps
• Build a demand generation approach, qualification framework, and fulfilment process

We are building a Software Asset Management and FinOps practice across EMEA, with the UK and Netherlands as the first markets. This is a contract opportunity with potential to move to permanent, based in the UK and covering the UK, France, and the Netherlands. The role is hybrid or remote, with a negotiable day rate and an ASAP start. We are looking for a practice lead who will define what we sell, help our sales teams sell it, and build the delivery model so engagements are repeatable and scalable. Success will be measured by pipeline created, revenue influenced, qualified opportunities generated, offerings launched, sales teams enabled, and customer references secured.
