Remote Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer

Salary: £39,000 - 79,000 per year

Requirements

• We need a deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud data architecture and contact mappings.
• We need advanced SQL and data modeling skills, including complex querying and building sophisticated data models and audiences.
• We need 5+ years of hands-on experience in an implementation-facing environment delivering enterprise-level solutions.
• We need proficiency in AMPscript and SSJS to customize data handling and user experiences dynamically.
• We need integration experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other Salesforce clouds, as well as external systems via API and SFTP.
• We need experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript for personalized and responsive email templates and cloud pages.
• We need a solid understanding of CRM and web-based channels.
• We need some knowledge of GDPR data governance and handling of PII data.
• We need experience working with data views.

Responsibilities

• We will define the technical specification of new features and services.
• We will maintain and improve the existing codebase.
• We will ensure changes are scalable, tested, and developed following best practices.
• We will work closely with Engineering, Product, and CRM teams to ensure campaigns, channels, and products integrate reliably.
• We will mentor engineers, junior/graduate engineers, and trainee engineers, and review their code.
• We will make key technical decisions aligned with the technical roadmap and re-platforming strategy.
• We will explain our decisions to both technical and non-technical colleagues across the wider team.
