Requirements
- We need a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent consulting experience.
- We need strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, security, and governance.
- We need proficiency in PowerShell, with practical experience automating and operating Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune at scale.
- We need related Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft 365, Security, Identity, and Endpoint/Intune, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- We need experience designing and implementing client-facing Microsoft solutions, particularly identity and access management and endpoint management.
- We need a strong understanding of governance, security, and compliance controls relevant to identity and endpoint management, including Conditional Access, MFA, device compliance, baseline policies, and secure configuration.
- We need excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- We need a passion for learning new technologies and staying current with Microsoft 365 trends and best practices, particularly around AI and Copilot.
- We need fluent English.
Responsibilities
- We lead the team responsible for the design and delivery of Microsoft 365 technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and associated identity, access, device, and policy management capabilities.
- We provide hands-on technical leadership across the end-to-end project lifecycle, including discovery, workshops, design, build, test, implementation, and deployment.
- We ensure secure, high-quality outcomes and predictable delivery.
- We hold overall accountability for technical quality and governance on Intune and Entra ID workstreams.
- We ensure the right SMEs and architects are engaged, designs are reviewed, risks are understood, and solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
- We ensure our projects are delivered effectively and meet quality and time targets.
- We proactively escalate and manage the risk of overruns with the PMO function and collaborate with Project Managers on resource planning.
- We contribute to post-project reviews, lessons learned, and CSI meetings to improve how services are delivered and consumed.
- We drive repeatable delivery through standards, templates, and automation, including PowerShell, to improve quality, speed, and consistency.
- We drive efficiency through repeatable processes and automation, and ensure AI adoption is at the core of our service evolution.
- We represent our teams practices internally and externally, including mentoring and Lunch and Learn sessions.
- We stay current with Microsoft 365 trends, features, and updates, and share knowledge with our team and the wider community.
- We collaborate with the Service Desk Manager to ensure projects transition effectively into operations.
- We take responsibility for knowledge transfer to the Service Desk after project delivery, including creating clear and usable knowledge documentation.
- We coach our team on best practice and help develop technical and business skills.
- We set standards, ensure adherence to business-wide processes, and promote accountability.
- We build professional and social connections across the business to support morale.
- We ensure team members have clear objectives and are accountable for their deliverables.
- We regularly assess team capacity to support effective utilisation and resource planning.
- We manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, probation, absence reviews, one-to-ones, and performance reviews, in partnership with our HR Business Partner.

This is a senior, client-facing Technical Team Lead role based in London WC1V 7BD on a hybrid remote basis, with a full-time permanent structure and a salary of £75,000 to £85,000 plus performance bonus.
