Salary: £45,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements

• We require extensive senior-level experience in Java development, including Java SE/EE and Spring frameworks.
• We require a proven track record of building and scaling distributed systems on Microsoft Azure.
• We require expertise in database design and implementation using both SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• We require proficiency in modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and containerization.
• We require mandatory professional experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude and Cursor.
• We prefer that you have a GitHub portfolio demonstrating clean code and proficiency in the required stack.
• We require at least 5 years of experience in Java development.
• We require at least 2 years of experience with Cursor and Claude.
• We require a remote-ready mindset and the ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• We design and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring frameworks.
• We architect and deploy distributed systems within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• We integrate Claude and Cursor AI into our workflow for advanced code refactoring and analysis.
• We develop and optimize microservices and cloud-native application designs.
• We lead code reviews and establish development standards to ensure system reliability.
• We implement LLM integrations and explore AI/ML concepts to enhance our product capabilities.
• We collaborate with architects and the wider team to deliver high-performance backend solutions.
• We use AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining high code quality.
