Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in Data Governance.
- Experience designing governance frameworks, policies and operating models.
- Knowledge of UK GDPR, DPA 2018, DPIAs and government security standards (NCSC, GovAssure, Technology Code of Practice).
- Experience with cross-organisational data sharing, data ownership and metadata governance.
- Understanding of attribute/policy-based access control (ABAC/PBAC).
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
Responsibilities
- We define governance frameworks, data ownership and stewardship models.
- We establish data standards.
- We ensure compliance with UK data protection legislation and government security guidance.
- We work closely with business, technical and security stakeholders.
- We help embed best practice across a complex digital transformation programme.
- We support a secure, cross-organisational data-sharing platform for a major government data programme.

We are a consultancy supporting a major government data programme and we are looking for an experienced Data Governance Specialist to help shape the governance and compliance framework for a secure, cross-organisational data-sharing platform. This is an outside IR35 contract paying £550–£600 per day, remote, with an ASAP start. We are working on a complex digital transformation programme and partnering with business, technical and security stakeholders to embed best practice across the initiative.
