Field Service Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements

• Proficiency in computer hardware fault-finding down to component level, such as replacing hard drives and DIMMs
• Experience troubleshooting within a Windows environment
• Basic understanding of networking principles, including routing, switching, and TCP/IP
• Strong communication skills across all mediums
• Excellent time management, organisational abilities, and attention to detail
• Experience with electronic, electrical, and mechanical repair, including the use of testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Ability to perform precise repairs with a high degree of manual dexterity
• Ability to manage tasks independently
• Valid full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain digital X-ray systems, with a focus on software, hardware, and networking
• Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, and configuration of specialised X-ray acquisition software
• Perform installations, commissioning, and annual service visits for new and existing X-ray equipment at customer sites
• Troubleshoot customer issues onsite and remotely via phone support or remote desktop access
• Coordinate with OEMs and third-party suppliers to source spare parts, technical manuals, and support
• Complete service reports and administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage workload effectively, scheduling and planning jobs to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and adhere to company guidelines and procedures
