IT 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in IT support, including cloud, hardware, and software administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, networking (DNS/IP), and Office 365 admin.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and VoIP systems is highly desirable.
• A full UK driving licence (this role includes on-site visits).
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus skills (not essential but great to have):
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. MCP, MCSA, or MCSE).
• PowerShell experience.
• Previous experience in specifying and building cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Responding to and resolving 2nd/3rd line technical issues, both remotely and on customer sites.
• Supporting cloud infrastructure, networking, servers, and complex diagnostics.
• Assisting the 1st line team with escalated technical queries and mentoring where needed.
• Liaising directly with clients to troubleshoot problems and deliver clear, helpful guidance.
• Evaluating new technologies and software to stay ahead of the curve.
• Performing system checks, updates, and OS re-installations as required.
