Senior Magento Backend Developer

Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We require proven experience as a Backend Developer, with at least 5 years in the industry.
• We require strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, and MVC frameworks, ideally with Magento 2 experience.
• We require familiarity with other eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Laravel, WordPress, and Shopware.
• We require proficiency with Git or other version control systems.
• We require a solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• We require experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• We require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• We require excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Magento Developer Certification is desirable.
• Experience with other languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java is desirable.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira or Teamwork is desirable.

Responsibilities

• We collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality web applications and eCommerce solutions.
• We develop customised features, extensions, and integrations across platforms, with a primary focus on Magento.
• We ensure the performance, stability, and security of our clients websites.
• We participate in code and architecture reviews, offering constructive feedback and improvements.
• We communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing technical guidance and support when needed.
• We keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our solutions innovative and competitive.
