Job Description
Description AI Agent Developer – Microsoft Fabric & Power BI We are looking for an experienced AI Agent Developer with strong Microsoft Fabric and Power BI expertise to join an existing initiative and continue building and enhancing solutions on the Microsoft data and AI platform.
This person will work hands-on across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Fabric Data Agents, helping build the data foundation, semantic models, reporting, and AI-ready data needed to support intelligent agent experiences.
ResponsibilitiesContinue the development and enhancement of existing AI and analytics solutions built on Microsoft Fabric and Power BIBuild and optimize Power BI semantic models to support reporting, analytics, and AI use casesDevelop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, including slicers, filters, visuals, and user-friendly reporting experiencesPrepare, structure, and optimize enterprise data for use by AI agents and generative AI applicationsBuild, configure, and enhance Microsoft Fabric Data AgentsDevelop and execute evaluations for Fabric Data Agents to measure accuracy, relevance, and overall performanceEnsure semantic models and underlying data are structured appropriately for AI-driven querying and insightsTroubleshoot and improve existing Fabric, Power BI, and AI Agent implementationsCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutionsSupport data ingestion, pipelines, notebooks, and data transformation when new data sources or adjustments are requiredMake updates to existing data architecture and supporting components as needed Requirements Required ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft FabricAdvanced Power BI development experienceExperience designing and building Power BI semantic modelsStrong experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, slicers, and visualizationsExperience preparing and modeling data for AI/GenAI use casesHands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Data AgentsUnderstanding of AI agent evaluation, testing, and performance optimizationStrong understanding of data modeling, relationships, measures, and analytics conceptsAbility to work within an existing environment, understand what has already been built, and independently continue developmentPreferred ExperienceExperience with Fabric Data Factory / data pipelinesExperience developing and maintaining Fabric notebooksExperience with data ingestion and transformation within Microsoft FabricFamiliarity with OneLake, Lakehouse, and/or Warehouse architecturesSQL, DAX, Power Query/M, and Python experienceExperience integrating structured enterprise data with AI agents, copilots, or other GenAI solutionsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is more than a traditional Power BI report developer.
We are looking for someone who understands the intersection of data, analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and AI agents and can take existing work, understand the architecture quickly, and continue building.This is a hands-on development role for someone comfortable moving between semantic modeling, Power BI reporting, AI-ready data preparation, Fabric Data Agents, and—when necessary—the underlying pipelines and notebooks that support the solution.
