Python Developer

Salary: £50,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong experience building backend systems with Python
• A strong academic background, preferably from a top Russell Group university
• Experience working with APIs, integrations, or distributed systems
• Comfort working across multiple surfaces or parts of a product
• Bonus: Experience with frontend development (Svelte or jQuery)
• Bonus: Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent)
• Bonus: Experience with third-party integrations or extensions
• Bonus: Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python
• Contribute across the stack, including frontend components (Svelte / jQuery)
• Own features end-to-end, from design and development through deployment
• Collaborate closely with product, QA, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Bring product thinking into engineering decisions, understanding real user impact
• Help shape the architecture and long-term evolution of the platform
