Technical Engineer - 2nd Line

Salary: £40,000 - 64,000 per year

Requirements

• At least 2 years in a full 2nd Line technical support engineer position, with 5 years+ experience in a technical support role overall.
• In-depth understanding of how to deliver outsourced IT support services to remote users in a variety of businesses.
• Experience with M365 platform is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is essential.
• Office 365 experience across Exchange, SharePoint, and Intune, including setup and deployment.
• Azure experience, including VM setup and AVD settings.
• Knowledge of server management.
• Experience with Active Directory.
• Experience with Hyper-V replication.
• Experience with ADConnect services.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Customer-focused, motivated, and trustworthy.
• Able to work accurately and quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of technical expertise.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve a wide range of IT issues for customers remotely.
• Build, install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions.
• Act as the escalation point for our 1st line engineers.
• Keep all backend systems up to date.
• Ensure customer information and documentation on our systems is accurate.
• Provide proactive advice on best practice and approaches for our customers.
• Support project delivery work as needed.
• Consistently develop your skills and knowledge.
• Share specialist skills and ways of working across the team.
• Achieve response and fix times within our SLAs.
• Occasionally visit customer sites on an ad-hoc basis for installs or onsite work.
