Technical Lead (TypeScript / React Native)

Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a strong full-stack engineer with experience across TypeScript, React Native, React, Node, Postgres, and GCP/Firebase.
• We need someone with a full-stack mindset who is comfortable working across mobile apps, web apps, backend systems, and SQL.
• We require proven experience writing efficient, production-ready code that is reliable, observable, and maintainable.
• We are seeking someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced release culture with multiple deployments per day.
• We want a product-focused engineer who can empathise with users and help steer feature development.
• We require at least 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in a fast-moving startup or product-led environment.
• We value strong problem-solving skills, ownership mentality, and the ability to work in GMT-friendly time zones.
• We prefer experience using AI-powered software engineering tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, or v0, and enthusiasm for improving productivity with modern tools.
• We prefer candidates who can work from the London office 3 days per week, although the role is primarily fully remote.

Responsibilities

• We lead end-to-end development and delivery of core features across mobile, backend, and internal tooling.
• We shape the technical roadmap and make high-impact architectural decisions in partnership with our founders.
• We own the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications in production.
• We mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and the development of strong engineering practices.
• We drive AI-accelerated engineering productivity by leveraging modern tools to ship faster and smarter.
• We stay hands-on by shipping code daily, unblocking the team, and taking responsibility for critical systems.
• We work closely with the founders to translate business goals into a clear technical roadmap and high-quality execution.
• We help our engineering team scale the platform to support rapid international growth.

We are a growing company based in London and are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to take ownership of our technology stack and guide our engineering team through the next phase of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical delivery with strategic oversight. You will act as a player-coach, shipping critical code yourself while mentoring engineers and helping shape our technical direction. We offer a salary of £60–100k per annum depending on experience and location, an annual performance bonus of up to 15%, and fully remote or hybrid working with GMT hours.
