Linux Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong hands-on Linux engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) - essential
• Proven experience delivering RHEL deployments and implementations
• Solid understanding of system configuration, patching and hardening
• Comfortable working independently in a delivery-focused contract role

Responsibilities

• Deploying and implementing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
• Supporting build, configuration and handover into BAU
• Working from agreed designs and implementation runbooks
• Troubleshooting OS-level issues during deployment and go-live phases
• Collaborating with infrastructure, network and security teams

We are looking for a Linux Engineer with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience to support a short-term deployment and implementation programme for an enterprise environment. This is an initial 3-month contract, which is primarily remote, with infrequent travel to Surrey. We offer a competitive rate of £500 - £600, inside IR35.
