Senior User Researcher

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements

• Hands-on experience of leading user research, using behavioural and attitudinal methods appropriately
• Experience across multiple phases of a product or service lifecycle, from discovery to delivery
• Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards and design principles
• Strong storytelling, communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary, agile teams, influencing design through user insights
• Familiarity with using prototypes to test hypotheses and validate user journeys
• Understanding of a range of tools and practices for in-person and remote research

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, developers, and other User Researchers for impactful research
• Lead the research for your team by suggesting appropriate methodologies to capture user insights
• Plan and conduct qualitative studies, including interviews, observations, diary studies, and usability studies
• Use quantitative methods, such as surveys, to identify actionable insights alongside the analytics team
• Consider the end-to-end user journey and external factors impacting user experience
• Communicate research findings and engage your team in analysis to enhance empathy with users
• Help embed user-centred design and research best practices within teams and the wider business
