Salary: £117,000 - 117,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer with a strong software engineering background.
• We require experience working across cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, observability, and secure engineering practices.
• Python experience is highly desirable, though we will also consider strong engineers from other programming backgrounds.
• We require candidates to be eligible for SC clearance.
• BPSS clearance is required.
• Experience supporting highly secure, high-availability, operationally critical environments is highly desirable.
• A collaborative, product-oriented engineering mindset is required.
• Experience working in AWS and DevOps-focused environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• We maintain and evolve core platform services that support nationally significant healthcare services.
• We support other engineering teams to deliver secure applications and services onto our wider platform.
• We improve reliability, resilience, automation, and developer experience across our platform estate.
• We work across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and secure engineering practices.
• We contribute to the delivery and operation of services that are critical to the UKs national infrastructure.
• We collaborate closely within a specialist engineering team and with wider engineering teams.
• We help maintain a secure, high-availability platform used by millions of people every day.

We are supporting a major healthcare technology programme that maintains and evolves services forming part of the UKs Critical National Infrastructure. This is a 6-month contract, inside IR35, based in Leeds with onsite attendance required one day per month. The day rate is £450/day, and the start date is ASAP. We operate within a specialist engineering team responsible for a large-scale national platform that securely exchanges information between systems, organisations, and professionals.
