React Developer - Contract - Belfast

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong expertise in React (hooks, context, state management, component lifecycle).
• Solid experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES6).
• Previous experience in fintech or financial services highly desirable.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup while staying collaborative.
• Nice to Have: Exposure to TypeScript.
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end applications using React and Node.js.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements.
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and security best practices are embedded in the UI.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Contribute to technical discussions and help shape the direction of the front-end architecture.
