Product and Application Specialist

Salary: £36,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience in a product specialist, application specialist, or technical sales support role
• Ideally from a background in weighing technology, food processing, or a related technical field
• Strong understanding of the sales process and commitment to excellent customer service
• Technically minded with the ability to explain complex solutions in a clear, engaging way
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Willing to travel occasionally within the UK
• Educated to A-level standard or equivalent (technical qualification or degree desirable)

Responsibilities

• Provide expert product and application knowledge to support both customers and internal sales teams
• Analyse customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to meet operational needs
• Deliver engaging product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions
• Work closely with sales teams to develop customised proposals and quotations
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical or application-related issues
• Gather and relay customer feedback to support product improvements and innovation
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
• Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
