Platform Engineer (AWS)

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• 5 years experience in software engineering, with exposure to platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling environments
• Ideally experience with React and Ruby, though were open to strong full-stack engineers willing to cross-train
• Proven ability to build, improve, or interact with internal platforms that enhance developer experience, scalability, and system reliability
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS), including how to design for performance, availability, and cost efficiency
• Experience working with or contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices
• AI tooling experience is essential, particularly applying AI to improve platform capabilities, reduce manual effort, and optimise engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Build and improve our internal platforms to enhance the developer experience
• Work on the automation and CI/CD pipelines to streamline processes
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions focused on performance and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI tools that optimize workflows
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
• Help shape and establish a brand-new NI hub for our engineering team
