• We require experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
• We require experience with secure SDLC and secure coding practices.

• We require experience supporting complex production systems or incident investigations.
• We require SC clearance, or you must be eligible to obtain it.
• We consider platform engineering or DevOps team experience highly desirable.
• We consider experience building reusable IaC components or CI jobs highly desirable.
• We consider experience using static or dynamic security analysis tools highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• We develop secure, maintainable Python code.
• We support cloud-native application development.
• We improve CI/CD pipelines and code quality processes.
• We work with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• We support observability, monitoring, and incident investigation.
• We work with product teams on cloud and platform best practice.
• We participate in the on-call rota once fully onboarded.
• We contribute to cloud-native platform work supporting a nationally critical healthcare integration and messaging platform.
• We help ensure deployments meet security, technical, and governance standards.

We are hiring a Senior Python Developer for a 6-month contract paying £450 per day inside IR35. The role is mostly remote, with travel to Leeds around once per month, and we need someone who can start as soon as possible. We are supporting a nationally critical healthcare integration and messaging platform, and the work is hands-on, collaborative, and focused on secure software delivery, platform engineering, and production reliability. Once up to speed, you will join an on-call rota currently operating on a 1 in 6-week basis.
