Salary: £148,200 - 148,200 per year

Requirements

• Proven architecture experience across both AWS and Azure, alongside on-premise datacenter environments.
• Solid understanding of SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya platforms, with direct experience in modernization or migration strategies.
• Hands-on experience architecting solution platforms with SageMaker and Azure Machine Learning.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with API-driven design.
• SC Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• We will design scalable end-to-end MLOps and analytics platforms leveraging AWS SageMaker and Azure Machine Learning.
• We will own the strategy and roadmaps for legacy-to-cloud transformations, including SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya migration and re-platforming programmes.
• We will deliver robust architecture across a complex multi-cloud and physical datacenter estate, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
• We will produce high-level and low-level design artefacts.
• We will lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• We will serve as a technical leader, driving architecture decisions and shaping hybrid cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and physical on-premise datacenters.

We are seeking an experienced Architect to bridge the gap between cutting-edge Cloud AI and robust heritage data platforms. This is a remote, 4-month contract role with potential for extension, inside IR35, supporting enterprise-grade analytics ecosystem design, evolution, and migration.
