Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements
- Proven experience designing client-facing (B2C) or product-led web applications
- Strong track record of building and evolving design systems, including tokens and reusable component libraries
- Experience designing complex, data-dense products such as dashboards, admin tools, SaaS platforms, healthtech, or fintech
- Strong understanding of UX principles, including user journeys, information architecture, and interaction design
- Ability to translate business and user needs into intuitive, usable interfaces
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma or similar
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Ability to balance UX, UI, and technical feasibility when designing solutions
- Experience collaborating closely with engineers and understanding handoff processes
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in layout, spacing, typography, and consistency
- Comfortable working in a greenfield environment with evolving requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain design decisions clearly
- Experience working on consumer health or healthcare-related products is desirable
- Experience operating within regulated environments such as healthcare, finance, or pharma is desirable
- Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG and inclusive design principles is desirable
- Experience conducting or contributing to user research and usability testing is desirable
- Understanding of front-end frameworks such as React and how designs translate into code is desirable
- Experience designing for responsive and mobile-first environments is desirable
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as GA or Hotjar to inform design decisions is desirable
- Exposure to design ops or scaling design processes within growing teams is desirable
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams is desirable
- Previous experience contributing to or building products from zero to launch is desirable
- Exposure to public sector or public-private partnership environments is desirable
Responsibilities
- Translate brand guidelines into a cohesive design system, including tokens and reusable component libraries
- Design intuitive user experiences across a complex, data-rich web application
- Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless implementation of designs
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance usability and visual quality
- Ensure consistency across the product while maintaining a strong focus on user needs
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the product as it moves from greenfield to live environment
