Staff Engineer

Salary: £44,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements

• Current and production-grade TypeScript fluency, with approximately 5 years of experience
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the ability to work directly with customers
• Experience developing with clean code, SOLID principles, and design patterns
• Experience across all areas of full stack development, ideally on large-scale SaaS platforms
• Experience working in a mature CI/CD environment and continuously deploying stories every day using DevSecOps methodology
• Strong general aptitude for programming and problem solving
• Ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly and apply them to solve problems
• Forward-thinking approach to accelerating production-quality software development using AI, professionally or personally
• Experience with automated testing and quality assurance
• Understanding of how to build systems that perform well at scale
• Enthusiasm for building secure systems and implementing security best practices
• Enthusiasm for driving high standards in software development and working with like-minded people to improve efficiency and performance
• Technical or computer science degree, or equivalent professional experience

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders on initial solution design, scoping, and system design
• Spike areas of uncertainty in designs and build proof of concepts as required
• Work with our Product Teams to break down work into deliverable Epics and Stories
• Turn user stories into production code as a high-performing individual contributor, lead developer, and embedded architect in an Agentic AI environment
• Ensure the quality, maintainability, and operability of code
• Support the product in production and resolve issues
• Own design, architecture, and implementation decisions for the product
