Chef Engineer - Windows AD / CIS / AWS

Salary: £70,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• We require experience using Chef and its tools to manage and automate system configurations.
• We require a strong understanding of cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
• We require experience working with Windows Server environments.
• We require strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Group Policy.
• We require awareness of security standards and best practices, such as CIS benchmarks.
• We prefer experience working within regulated environments, such as financial services.
• We prefer exposure to large-scale transformation or cloud migration programmes.

Responsibilities

• We will use Chef to support our cloud hardening initiative.
• We will automate and standardise secure configurations across our enterprise environments.
• We will contribute to our security remediation and infrastructure hardening programme.
• We will work across cloud and Windows-based environments to strengthen configuration security.

We are a leading European financial services organisation undergoing a large-scale digital transformation, alongside a significant programme of security remediation and infrastructure hardening. This is a fully remote contract opportunity based in the UK for O/IR35 or in the EU for B2B, with an initial contract through to the end of the year. The role focuses on supporting a cloud hardening initiative to automate and standardise secure configurations across enterprise environments. Overtime is also available if interested.
