React Developer - Contract

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong expertise in React (hooks, context, state management, component lifecycle)
• Solid experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Previous experience in fintech or financial services highly desirable
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration best practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup while staying collaborative
• Nice to Have: Exposure to TypeScript
• Nice to Have: Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress)
• Nice to Have: Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end applications using React and Node.js
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and security best practices are embedded in the UI
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Contribute to technical discussions and help shape the direction of the front-end architecture
