Requirements

• Strong experience with Power Platform Dataflows and Power Query
• Proven background designing and building cloud-based ETL pipelines
• Knowledge of Dataverse and Dynamics 365 CE data structures
• Experience training or coaching internal teams
• Understanding of data migration, UAT processes, and error handling best practices
• Familiarity with SSIS/KingswaySoft is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training to a team of four on Power Query and Power Platform Dataflows
• Guide the design of a scalable ETL framework for recurring flat file imports
• Support the team in building initial ingestion pipelines into Dataverse/D365
• Review and refine transformation logic, mapping, and pipeline structure
• Provide expert oversight during UAT, including error handling configuration
• Optionally build specific pipelines or mapping logic if internal capacity requires
• Work with recurring Excel/CSV imports from third-party providers
• Support six core D365 data patterns
• Build a two-tier pipeline model with a pre-processing tier and a loading tier
• Standardise diverse source files into a unified schema
• Upsert into D365 with robust de-duplication and matching logic

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Consultant to train and support our internal Data Team in building cloud-based ETL pipelines using Power Platform Dataflows and Power Query. This work underpins our migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, with a production go-live planned for early 2027. The engagement is a remote contract role, with UK preference, running from Aug–Dec 2026.
