Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• Active SC Clearance.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server infrastructure.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Knowledge of Terraform and/or Bicep.
• VMware and/or Hyper-V administration experience.
• Strong understanding of Azure security and hybrid infrastructure.
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience is desirable.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud or Azure Sentinel is desirable.
• Experience with Veeam, Azure Backup or similar backup technologies is desirable.
• Experience within Defence, Government or other highly regulated environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain hybrid infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments.
• Resolve infrastructure incidents and deliver technical changes in line with change control processes.
• Administer Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Terraform and Bicep.
• Monitor platform performance and support backup, resilience and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with project, service desk and operations teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services.

We are a large technology consultancy recruiting for an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to support secure hybrid infrastructure and Microsoft Azure environments across UK Government customers. This is a hands-on remote role within the UK, offering up to £65,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a 5% matched pension, private medical insurance, and remote and flexible working options.
