Requirements

• We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer / Architect with strong experience in network design and architecture across LAN/WAN and data centre environments.
• We need expertise in VPN technologies, including IPSec and SSL, and secure network design.
• We require proven experience with cloud networking environments such as AWS and Azure.
• We are looking for hands-on experience with security technologies including firewalls, DDoS protection, WAF, proxy, and NAC.
• We need strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, STP, and multicast.
• We require experience with network hardware including Fortinet firewalls, Juniper routers and switches, and Cisco networking technologies.
• We are looking for solid troubleshooting skills across complex IP networks.
• We need understanding of overlay and underlay network design.
• We require experience with network monitoring and performance tuning tools.
• We value excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
• We are looking for someone with 8 to 15 years of experience in network engineering or data centre environments.

Responsibilities

• We develop and implement network monitoring and performance optimisation solutions.

• We monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

We are partnering with a leading technology organisation that helps enterprises accelerate digital transformation through innovative IT services, data engineering, and advanced technology solutions. This is a high-impact contract role for an experienced Senior Network Engineer / Architect based on-site in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, five days per week. The initial contract runs for 10 weeks with strong potential for extension, at a competitive outside IR35 day rate. The interview process consists of at least three remote stages, and the expected start date is within two weeks of the final interview.
