Salary: £30,000 - 36,000 per year

Requirements

  • We require candidates to be a UK Citizen, EU Settled Status holder, or hold ILR status to be considered for this role.
  • We do not accept Post Study Visa candidates or candidates requiring sponsorship.
  • We prefer candidates with an MSP background.
  • We require a minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a Tier 1 Cyber Security SOC Support Analyst role.
  • We require working knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM technologies.
  • We require working knowledge of the Microsoft Defender suite, including Endpoint Detection and Response.
  • We require an understanding of key Microsoft 365 cloud technologies from a threat landscape perspective.
  • We require one of the following certifications: GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), CREST Registered Intrusion Analyst (CR IA), eLearnSecurity Certified Digital Forensics Professional (ECDFP), or EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (ECIH).
  • We value highly motivated candidates with a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, proven client service skills, the ability to work under pressure, flexibility, and good telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

  • We provide triage and first-line defence for all cyber security incidents within our organisation and Managed Security Service.
  • We take ownership of incidents and apply remedial actions to mitigate cyber security threats using our playbooks, or escalate incidents to our Escalations Management Team when needed.
  • We manage technical and stakeholder incident reporting through concise communication.
  • We manage client communication channels during active incidents.
  • We liaise with third-party service suppliers where necessary, log tickets, and act as the central point of contact for active incidents.
  • We provide operational support to our wider Cyber Security Team on security incidents.
  • We deliver a professional, customer-focused service throughout each ticket lifecycle and keep customers informed of progress.

We are an award-winning London-based MSP offering a Cyber Security SOC Analyst opportunity in London with hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. We offer a competitive package of £30k-£36k plus benefits and paid training, including fully paid exams towards relevant certifications. Our benefits include a gym membership, Vitality at Work business rewards and benefits, a Cycle to Work scheme, quarterly team nights out and events, monthly games nights, pizzas, and breakfast on Wednesdays. The role is on a fortnightly shift pattern of 7.5 hours per day, with hours covering 8am to 4.30pm, 9am to 5.30pm, or 9.30am to 6pm. Annual leave starts at 20 days plus bank holidays, increasing by an extra day after 3 years of continuous service up to 25 days.
