ICT Systems Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - 48,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for proven IT support or systems administration experience.
• We require experience with Windows Server 2016/19/22/25 and Windows operating systems through to Windows 11.
• We require experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google.
• We require experience managing and troubleshooting backup solutions.
• We require experience with Apple and Linux environments.
• We require experience with WiFi networking and VOIP telephone systems, particularly 3CX.
• We require hardware installation, configuration, and support experience.
• We require WAN, LAN, and VLAN installation and configuration experience.
• We require knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocol configuration.
• We require knowledge of internet and security technologies.
• We require systems and database management experience.
• We require excellent communication skills.
• We require strong organisational skills and a methodical approach.
• We require the ability to take initiative and solve problems independently when appropriate.
• We require good all-round IT literacy.
• We require good time management and the ability to complete work in a timely manner.
• We ideally require at least 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
• We require the ability to be approachable, friendly, tidy, presentable, and a team player.
• We require a valid UK driving licence, willingness to use a personal vehicle, and business insurance cover.

Responsibilities

• We follow direction from our Technical Directors.
• We install, configure, and support all company-supported operating systems, software, and hardware.
• We attend client sites to deliver a range of computer services.
• We provide telephone, remote, and on-site technical support.
• We treat every customer setup as if it were our own and put the customer first in every instance.
• We install software including applications, VMware, Veeam, and Microsoft Server platforms.
• We install hardware including servers, printers, workstations, laptops, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
• We provide general administration of customer systems.
• We oversee the security of customer systems.
• We diagnose and resolve network faults.
• We provide limited training to customers on new equipment.
• We plan future improvements for customer sites and setups.
• We maintain detailed job sheets in time management software.
• We comply with company procedures.
• We comply with company health and safety regulations.
• We produce and update detailed network documentation for installations undertaken.

We are recruiting an ICT Systems Engineer to join our team and support our customers with a wide range of IT and network services. The role is based on a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a basic salary of £20,000 to £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus overtime including weekend work and out-of-hours calls.
