ICT Infrastructure Analyst - Belfast

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Hold at least an HND in Computing or another ICT-relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% computing content
• At least 1 years experience in a challenging Infrastructure Support/Service Desk environment, or
• At least 3 years experience in a challenging Infrastructure Support/Service Desk environment
• Experience managing MS Windows Server 2012 (or later) in a Windows Hyper-V 2019 environment
• Experience managing MS Exchange 2016 (or later) on-premise and Microsoft 365 cloud-based systems
• Experience supporting the MS Azure environment
• Support and administration of a TCP/IP-based network, including remote access equipment, firewalls, switches, and routers
• Ability to analyse business requirements and produce logical, customer-focused solutions
• Proactive approach to improving processes and service delivery
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage a heavy, diverse, and unpredictable workload while maintaining ICT best practice standards
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, influencing people and resources to achieve objectives

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice to customers in person, by phone, and email
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring full resolution and customer satisfaction
• Classify and prioritise incidents, document root causes, and implement preventative measures
• Identify and analyse wider system issues, consulting internal and external specialists where necessary
• Patch and update MS Windows Server 2012 (or later) in a Windows Hyper-V 2019 environment
• Support and manage services within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment
• Manage MS Exchange 2016 (or later) on-premise and Microsoft 365 cloud-based email systems, including mailboxes and permissions
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft cloud identity services
• Manage and configure TCP/IP network equipment such as switches
• Support in-house developed Microsoft-based applications
• Investigate system alerts and provide timely responses
• Plan for disaster recovery and develop contingency arrangements
• Assist in the development and maintenance of secure Windows 10 (or later) device configurations
• Support secure remote access solutions and smart devices
• Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, providing technical advice and challenge where appropriate
• Ensure compliance with all Assembly Commission policies
• Manage information and records in line with statutory and organisational requirements
• Undertake additional duties as reasonably required
