[Remote] Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Architect/Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apetan Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to define cloud architecture and drive cloud adoption while ensuring best practices are followed.

Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on GCPDefine cloud architecture, standards, and best practicesLead cloud migration and modernization initiatives (on-prem to GCP)Architect solutions using GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, etc.)Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimizationImplement security best practices including IAM, encryption, and complianceCollaborate with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines and automationProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and architecture guidanceMonitor and optimize cloud costs and resource utilization Skills Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) servicesExpertise in cloud architecture, design patterns, and distributed systemsHands-on experience with Compute Engine, Kubernetes (GKE), and serverless servicesKnowledge of networking concepts (VPC, load balancing, DNS, VPN)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager)Understanding of security best practices (IAM, identity federation, encryption)Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practicesProficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, or Go)Strong leadership and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder managementProblem-solving and strategic thinkingBachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environmentsKnowledge of data engineering tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)Familiarity with containerization and microservices architectureExperience with monitoring tools (Stackdriver / Cloud Monitoring)Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, etc.)Google Professional Cloud ArchitectGoogle Associate Cloud Engineer Company Overview We are a prominent executive search & selection company, providing a wide range of recruitment solutions for various requirements.
