Job Description
Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year
Requirements
- We require a valid UK driving licence.
- We prefer MSP experience, although it is not essential.
- We require at least 3 years of experience in a similar 3rd line support role.
- We require professional IT certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, PRINCE2, or Cisco CCNA.
- We need strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- We require excellent oral and written communication skills.
- We need strong knowledge of Azure and current supported Microsoft server and workstation operating systems.
- We require solid experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS.
- We need advanced networking skills, including switches, routers, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and firewalls.
- We require experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365, including installation, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting.
- We need experience with Hyper-V virtualisation, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- We require knowledge of domains, basic web hosting, and SSLs.
- We need experience remotely troubleshooting hardware such as UPSs, NAS devices, printers, and VoIP systems.
- We require experience using Visio for network documentation.
Responsibilities
- We design, implement, and support customer projects across networks, disaster recovery, office moves, and Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.
- We provide 3rd line technical support to assist our Service Desk when required.
- We create and maintain customer documentation when changes are made, including Visio network diagrams and internal records.
- We provide technical assistance to our Sales and Pre-Sales teams.
- We create scope of work documents for customer projects.
- We manage projects to ensure they are delivered on time and in line with scope.
- We visit client sites when necessary and use a company car for customer visits.
- We research and evaluate new products and services.
- We accurately record time entries and update tickets as work progresses.
- We deliver a strong customer experience and provide great customer service.
- We hand over completed projects to the helpdesk once the customer is satisfied.
- We provide support documentation and training where required so the desk can professionally support the new system.
