Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with SharePoint Server 2019 and SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE)
• Proven experience managing and supporting SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365
• Demonstrated experience acting as a 3rd line technical escalation point for SharePoint infrastructure and applications
• Exposure to the broader Microsoft 365 stack, including OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online
• Experience with Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities
• Preferred certifications: MS-102 Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, AZ-204 Azure Developer Associate, PL-400 Power Platform Developer Associate, AI-900 Azure AI Fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Act as the 3rd line escalation point for complex SharePoint issues
• Lead the upgrade from SharePoint Server 2019 to SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE)
• Manage and support SharePoint Online within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Maintain platform performance, security, and reliability across the SharePoint environment

We are working with a Central Government Department on an office-based SharePoint SME / 3rd Line Technical Specialist role in Manchester. This is a hands-on technical position focused on supporting and evolving our SharePoint estate across on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. The role is inside IR35, offered at £500 per day, and is initially for 6 months.
