3rd Line Support Engineer (M365, Azure Virtual Desktop)

Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer with experience in an MSP or enterprise environment.
• We need strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
• We require 3rd line support experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• We need practical experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.
• We are looking for someone with experience diagnosing and resolving complex Azure and Microsoft infrastructure issues.
• We need experience acting as a technical escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Engineers while working directly with customers.
• Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• We provide senior support across two customer environments, resolving complex issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• We administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• We carry out root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• We work closely with Project and Consultancy teams as new Microsoft environments transition into managed support.
• We act as the technical escalation point for lower-level support teams and support customers directly.
• We may visit customers occasionally, and if local, we work from our Borehamwood office 1-2 days per week for collaboration, mentoring and technical development.

This role offers a clear progression path from 3rd Line Support Engineer into Consultant, Solution Designer and Solution Architect, along with Microsoft-funded training and certifications across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Security. We also provide mentoring from experienced Consultants and Architects, exposure to enterprise Microsoft Cloud environments and the latest Microsoft technologies. The role is predominantly home-based, with occasional customer visits, and we welcome remote candidates across the UK. The salary is £45,000 - £55,000, and our office is in Borehamwood.
