IT CDS Network Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - 71,000 per year

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and deploying CDS systems in MOD or secure enterprise infrastructure platforms
• Strong experience and understanding of TCP networks
• Strong experience integrating data flows within the application layer
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Understanding of Dell server hardware
• Ability to maintain technical documentation
• CISCO CCNA or equivalent
• ITIL Foundation
• Experience administering Microsoft Windows 2019/22 and Active Directory is desirable
• End user knowledge of Remedy is desirable
• Good working knowledge of VMware VCF hosted services is desirable
• Office automation skills to support documentation updates are desirable
• Ability to work independently is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage key stakeholders, including end users, suppliers, and external services are desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver design, build, implementation, and day-to-day support of the integrated CDS service
• Support the delivery team with the build, deployment, and support of NDH(D)
• Provide day-to-day 3rd and 4th line support of deployed services
• Work as part of a team to support day-to-day administration in a flexible and agile manner
• Support the delivery of IT services on a Royal Navy vessel
• Help deliver a high-quality service that supports the Royal Navys vision
