Contract Business Analyst - EDI & Integrations

Salary: £39,000 - 70,500 per year

Requirements

• Strong EDI experience is essential.
• Experience as a Technical Business Analyst within integration or data environments.
• Experience with APIs, system integrations, and data mapping.
• Experience gathering requirements and producing technical documentation.
• Understanding of business data and operational processes.
• Experience working with developers and external technical partners.
• Ability to understand integration structures, APIs, EDI, mappings, and data flows.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and document EDI and system-to-system integrations.
• Work with UBL, EDIFACT, XML, APIs, and data mappings.
• Understand the business meaning and semantics behind data.
• Work with suppliers, EDI partners, developers, and internal technical teams.
• Produce detailed requirements, user stories, and development tasks.
• Support integration testing, onboarding, and implementation.
• Challenge ambiguous requirements and make sensible assumptions.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

We are offering an initial 6-9 month contract for a Technical Business Analyst focused on EDI and integrations, working fully remote and outside IR35, with an ASAP start. We are looking for someone who sits comfortably between Business Analysis, Data, and Technical Integration, and who can translate business needs into clear technical requirements for developers and partners.
