Senior IT Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements

• We require 3 years experience in an MSP environment.
• We require proven 2nd line IT support experience with strong troubleshooting ability.
• We need strong Microsoft 365 knowledge, including Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure AD.
• We need solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
• We require hands-on firewall configuration and management experience.
• We need a good understanding of cyber security principles and a willingness to keep developing in this area.
• We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• We need someone who is organised, self-motivated, and comfortable keeping documentation up to date.
• We require a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, CompTIA, or cyber security are highly desirable.
• Intune device management experience, including policies, application rollout, and Autopilot deployments, is highly desirable.
• Device deployment experience with MDT, SCCM, or similar tools is highly desirable.
• Office moves and site setup experience, including networking, Wi-Fi, and end-user environments, is highly desirable.
• Experience mentoring or training junior team members is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• We provide 2nd line technical support remotely and on-site, troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues efficiently and professionally.
• We work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and firewall technologies day to day.
• We configure, deploy, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
• We troubleshoot networking, Wi-Fi, connectivity, VoIP, and security issues.
• We take part in customer onboarding and site setup projects as we continue to grow our client base.
• We ensure cyber security best practices are implemented and maintained across client environments.
• We mentor apprentices within the support team, sharing knowledge and helping them develop.
• We build strong relationships with clients and contribute to account management.
• We travel to customer sites when required for onsite support and project work.
