Remote Staff ML Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements

• We have 5+ years of experience in a machine learning role, with demonstrated success in ML engineering and deploying models to production.
• We have proven expertise in designing and implementing ML testing strategies, including data validation, model correctness, and performance testing.
• We have a strong understanding of machine learning principles, including experimental design, statistical distributions and tests, and machine learning algorithms.
• We have expertise in deploying ML models at scale on AWS, with experience using MLflow, SageMaker, or similar platforms.
• We have strong Python programming skills and follow software engineering best practices, including clean code, version control, code reviews, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• We have expert-level SQL skills and experience working with large datasets for analysis and modeling.
• We have strong problem-solving skills and can apply creative, data-driven solutions to complex business challenges.
• We have excellent communication and collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
• We have a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Bonus: We have experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins for ML pipelines and Airflow DAG deployment.
• Bonus: We have experience with data quality monitoring tools and frameworks.
• Bonus: We have a masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• We build and implement features that help lodging customers make data-driven pricing decisions.
• We use both heuristic data and advanced machine learning techniques to optimize revenue strategies.
• We work closely with product and engineering teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
• We drive revenue growth for the hotels that rely on our platform.
• We ensure the reliability, scalability, and high quality of our ML systems from development to production.
• We establish robust ML practices and rigorous testing processes across the entire ML lifecycle.
• We structure data pipelines, implement and validate ML models, and own the end-to-end development of our revenue management application.
• We help hotels receive reliable, accurate insights to maximize their success.
