Senior Backend Engineer with Content Delivery Experience

Salary: £130,000 - 143,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong background in networking and infrastructure as code
• Hands-on experience working in cloud-based environments
• Experience in automated CDN configuration management and/or content delivery
• Ideally, prior experience in CDN management and/or content delivery
• Interest in building infrastructure platforms
• Willingness to learn, experiment with new technologies, and adapt quickly to new challenges

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and optimization of our foundational infrastructure for media delivery and play capabilities
• Improve core infrastructure systems that serve as the foundation for our backend
• Build, support, and operate central services and systems with reliability, scalability, and security in mind
• Contribute to our product direction and technical strategy
• Work with cutting-edge technologies at massive scale, supporting thousands of developers and over a billion customers
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain operational responsibility for our services
• Collaborate within an agile, cross-functional team to design, build, and develop scalable infrastructure services and tools

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for a remote, 6-month contract on our CDN team. We own content delivery management and an internal platform that provides engineers with a unified interface to manage CDN configuration across a multi-vendor setup. Our team focuses on building and optimizing the infrastructure behind our Media Delivery and play capabilities. You will work with technologies including Terraform, Java, CDN providers SDKs, Envoy, Kubernetes, and GCP as part of an agile, cross-functional team.
