Requirements

• Experience working in ICT support or a similar business support role
• Ability to log, prioritise, resolve, and monitor service desk calls within agreed service levels
• Ability to provide first line and second line support to users
• Experience installing, configuring, and testing hardware and software components
• Ability to work flexibly across remote home-working and office-based rota arrangements
• Ability to carry out routine operational tasks, including backups and restores
• Ability to liaise effectively with users, support services, and third-party suppliers
• Willingness to participate in an IT emergency standby/on-call rota
• Understanding of ITIL service management frameworks

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for our ICT Support Service
• Log, prioritise, monitor, and resolve ICT problems and requests
• Provide quick and effective support to our customers and user base
• Deliver first line and second line ICT support
• Install, configure, and test hardware and software components
• Carry out routine operational tasks, including monitoring and completing data backups and restores
• Liaise with users, support services, and third-party suppliers
• Work in an agile and flexible manner, including remote and office-based working on a rota basis
• Participate in our IT emergency standby/on-call rota
• Work within our ITIL service management framework
• Identify opportunities to improve service from the customers perspective
• Carry out duties efficiently and effectively
• Support appraisal, training, and development activities
• Maintain high standards of health and safety
• Promote our Equality and Diversity Policy
• Undertake other reasonable tasks appropriate to the post
• Assist in the event of a civil emergency as instructed
