.NET Software Developer - Remote - Northern Ireland

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with C# and the .NET framework / .NET Core.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of cloud services, such as application hosting, serverless functions, and storage solutions.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, software development lifecycle, and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Exposure to reporting and data visualization tools (desirable).
• Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes (desirable).
• Exposure to RESTful APIs and web services (desirable).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Blazor (desirable).
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git (desirable).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release processes (desirable).
• Understanding of business systems or online platform workflows (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance .NET applications supporting business systems and web-based platforms.
• Work with SQL Server to design, implement, and optimize database queries and procedures.
• Assist in deploying and managing applications within a cloud environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Support existing applications and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
