SaaS Configuration & Support Engineer

Salary: £43,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements

• We require strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting SaaS platforms within AWS-hosted enterprise environments.
• We require proven experience working across DEV, TEST, QA, Pre-Prod and Production environments.
• We require experience supporting Agile delivery teams in fast-paced sprint and iteration-based delivery models.
• We require strong experience creating and maintaining custom fields, workflows, forms, business rules and platform configuration.
• We require experience with deployment and release management, including configuration migration and environment promotion.
• We require experience supporting CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines across multiple environments.
• We require the ability to troubleshoot complex platform, configuration and environment issues quickly and effectively.
• We require a strong understanding of enterprise SaaS delivery, configuration governance and change management.
• We require practical experience using JIRA for backlog management, sprint tracking, defect management and workflow progression.
• We require experience supporting UAT, defect triage and resolution activities during testing cycles.
• We require the ability to work closely with Architecture, Product, Integration, Customer Success and Engineering teams.
• We require confidence translating business requirements into scalable technical configuration solutions.
• We require experience supporting integrations, APIs and enterprise data flows, which is advantageous.
• We require exposure to SQL queries, data analysis and troubleshooting activities, which is desirable.
• We require a strong understanding of RBAC, security models and data handling controls within regulated environments, which is advantageous.
• We require insurance sector experience, particularly within TPRM, Supplier Risk, Compliance or Governance domains, which is desirable.
• We require strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
• We require the ability to work independently while remaining aligned to programme governance, sprint objectives and delivery timelines.
• We require experience producing or contributing to documentation, runbooks, user guides and support material, which is beneficial.
• We require a quick-thinking, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and pragmatic problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• We will deploy and integrate an innovative vendor management platform for our FTSE100 client.
• We will provide practical, delivery-focused engineering support across the assignment.
• We will configure and support SaaS platform environments across the full delivery lifecycle.
• We will manage platform configuration, including custom fields, workflows, forms and business rules.
• We will support deployment and release activities, including configuration migration and environment promotion.
• We will work within CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines across multiple environments.
• We will troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, configuration and environment issues.
• We will support Agile delivery teams through sprint planning, iteration delivery and backlog progression.
• We will manage JIRA activities for backlog tracking, defects and workflow status.
• We will support UAT, defect triage and resolution during testing cycles.
• We will collaborate closely with Architecture, Product, Integration, Customer Success and Engineering teams.
• We will translate business needs into scalable technical configuration solutions.
• We will contribute to integrations, APIs and enterprise data flow activities where required.
• We will support documentation, runbooks, user guides and operational material as needed.
• We will maintain delivery focus, attention to detail and alignment to governance and programme timelines.

We are a rapidly expanding and dynamic SaaS business supporting the deployment and integration of an innovative vendor management platform for a FTSE100 client. This role is for two experienced SaaS engineers who are practical, delivery-focused and comfortable working across complex enterprise environments. The assignment can be carried out remotely with occasional site visits to the South Coast, and travel expenses will be provided where necessary. The role is inside IR35, and candidates may be required to undergo background checks before starting.
