1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements

• We require proven MSP background and experience supporting clients in a managed services environment.
• We require strong experience with Microsoft 365, including tenant migrations, Exchange, SharePoint, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune/Autopilot, Conditional Access, MFA, and end-to-end deployments.
• We require experience supporting Windows Server 2016+ and Windows 11 Pro / macOS desktop environments.
• We require hands-on experience with Active Directory administration, VMware, and Hyper-V.
• We require networking troubleshooting knowledge across TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, UniFi, DrayTek, and Fortigate.
• We require experience with email security solutions and online backup / disaster recovery.
• We require a calm, problem-solving approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
• We require a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• We consider IT certifications such as CCNA and CompTIA beneficial.
• We consider Azure or Microsoft certifications such as AZ-900 and MS-900 beneficial.

Responsibilities

• We deliver high-quality remote and on-site support across a range of technical issues and platforms.
• We take ownership of incidents from assignment through to resolution, ensuring SLAs are met.
• We troubleshoot applications, networks, and infrastructure issues for a varied client base.
• We support, train, and mentor junior team members where needed.
• We attend customer sites in London 1-2 days per week to provide on-site support, with travel expenses covered.
• We work flexibly across agreed office hours, with options such as 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm.

We are a growing Managed Service Provider offering a hands-on 1/2 Line IT Support Engineer role based in our St. Albans office, with regular client visits into central London and all travel costs covered.
