MES Developer

Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements

• We require commercial C# development experience and knowledge of working with web applications and APIs.
• We require strong working knowledge of C#, .NET 8+, Visual Studio 2019+, REST APIs, JSON, SQL Server, Git, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• We require a strong understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
• We require experience implementing security best practices, including complex password policies, JWT tokens, and multi-factor authentication.
• We require excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to understand complex systems while delivering work to agreed deadlines.
• We would value experience with Blazor, Azure Cloud, and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• We design, develop, and enhance MES applications using C# and .NET 8+.
• We interpret business requirements and turn them into development work.
• We develop responsive web applications using Blazor.
• We build and integrate RESTful APIs.
• We design and develop SQL Server database solutions.
• We ensure our applications are secure, scalable, and performant.
• We apply SOLID principles and design patterns.
• We collaborate with our IT and business teams.
• We support development and deployments using Azure DevOps.
• We maintain documentation and provide support.
• We design applications, develop code, create and amend databases, implement cyber-security measures, and integrate with other applications and systems.
• We are accountable for delivery, installation, training, and ongoing support of the project.
• We undertake additional tasks and responsibilities to meet future business needs as identified.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a M.E.S Developer on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract to join our IT team in Woodgate, Birmingham. The role is hybrid remote and focused on delivering phase two of our Manufacturing Execution System, a critical solution used to monitor and control shop floor production processes.
