Solution Architect - Manufacturing

Salary: £126,000 - 126,000 per year

Requirements

• We need experience in MES-led Industry 4.0 projects and advanced industrial solutions.
• We need hands-on innovation experience with emerging technologies such as machine vision, robotics, drones, edge computing, and automation.
• We need the ability to translate business requirements into high-level, future-state architectures.
• We need experience working closely with engineers to define how solutions would theoretically operate within existing infrastructure.
• We need a strong understanding of factory-of-the-future concepts, including 5G-enabled and cyber-physical systems.
• We prefer British National status and active SC Clearance, though SC Clearance is not mandatory.
• We value experience within a research programme focused on accelerating new or first-of-kind technologies.
• We are looking for candidates with a background in solution architecture rather than traditional IT or enterprise architecture.
• We expect the ability to work remotely with travel to our client location as needed.

Responsibilities

• We support MES-led Industry 4.0 projects using emerging technologies.
• We develop high-level, future-state architectures for new and innovative solutions.
• We translate business requirements into architectural concepts and solution direction.
• We work closely with engineers to define how solutions will operate within our existing infrastructure.
• We contribute to research programme activities that accelerate first-of-kind technologies.
• We help shape factory-of-the-future initiatives, including 5G-enabled and cyber-physical systems.
• We provide innovation-led architectural support for advanced industrial delivery teams.
• We travel to our client location in Derby as required.

Our work centres on MES-led Industry 4.0 initiatives and the design of future-state industrial solutions, with an emphasis on factory-of-the-future thinking rather than traditional enterprise architecture. The role is remote with travel to our client location in Derby as needed, and expenses are covered. British National status is required, and SC Clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
