Experienced Technical Support Engineer

Salary: £28,000 - 54,500 per year

Requirements

• University degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Good knowledge of hardware, servers, wifi routers, and 4G
• Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in the technology field, preferably in firmware, hardware, video devices, and cameras
• Experience with streaming, livestreaming, and device-to-cloud communication
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• A go-getter attitude with the ability to take ownership of tasks
• Full UK driving license
• Experience with embedded Linux and firmware technologies (highly desirable)
• Experience with Ambarella SoCs and SDK (highly desirable)

Responsibilities

• Implement and test firmware for Ambarella-based cameras
• Collaborate with external partners on hardware and software troubleshooting and improvements
• Resolve technical issues raised by customers in an effective and prompt manner
• Schedule remote support calls with customers and external partners using Microsoft Teams and Google Meets
• Perform hands-on hardware repairs using lab equipment
• Oversee and automate the delivery of scheduled technical reports and data analytics for key accounts
• Assist the Sales team by providing demonstrations to potential customers and resolving technical issues quickly
• Coordinate with the Sales team to plan product delivery and ensure timely dispatch of cameras
• Work independently and enthusiastically with a can do attitude, while mentoring junior technical staff as required
• Contribute to new feature development when needed
