Job Description
Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or closely related roles.
- Active SC Clearance required.
- Proven track record of contributing to or leading large-scale transformation and simplification programmes.
- Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within the UK public sector.
- Deep understanding of domain modelling and enterprise architecture practices.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.
- Experience in business process management (BPM) and process optimisation initiatives with measurable results.
- Ability to translate strategy into structured architectural artefacts and roadmaps.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to mentor and guide cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Architecture, Information Systems, or a related field - Desirable.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification - Desirable.
Responsibilities
- Define, support, and maintain a comprehensive business domain model.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategic goals and enable cross-functional integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine domain models in response to evolving business needs.
- Support the development and adoption of enterprise architecture frameworks to meet business objectives and transformation initiatives.
- Design and implement standardised processes to ensure consistency across business units and systems.
- Facilitate the integration of enterprise design principles into operational and IT strategies.
- Provide architectural oversight to ensure simplification and optimisation initiatives align with the domain model and enterprise design.
- Drive process improvement initiatives with a focus on measurable outcomes and long-term sustainability.
- Offer expert guidance to business and IT teams on architecture best practices, standards, and methodologies.
- Mentor and develop members of the business architecture capability to build long-term expertise.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation through workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Engage with senior leadership, business units, and IT teams to ensure alignment between business needs and architectural solutions.
