Network Architect

Salary: £42,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• We require active SC clearance.
• We require proven experience in network architecture and design delivery for enterprise routing, switching, and firewalls.
• We require CCNP-level certification, or an equivalent qualification, across major enterprise networking vendors.
• We require hands-on design experience with next-generation firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Checkpoint.
• We require extensive experience producing high-quality architectural designs, blueprints, and implementation plans for large-scale environments.
• We would value exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
• We would value experience with modern Software-Defined Networking or data centre fabric overlays.

Responsibilities

• We will have you author and deliver comprehensive High-Level Design and Low-Level Design documentation.
• We will expect you to guide design documents through internal and stakeholder approval processes.
• We will have you lead network projects from a design perspective and ensure technical deliverables are met accurately.
• We will ask you to work closely with Network Engineers and the wider infrastructure team to support successful deployment.
• We will rely on you to provide technical leadership and assist team members with architectural issues.
• We will have you help compile hardware Bills of Materials.

We are a major global IT systems integrator supporting a high-profile secure public sector transition project. This is a remote, 6-month contract with the potential for extension, offered inside IR35 at a rate of £50.00 to £70.00 per hour. We are looking for a collaborative Network Architect who can act as a key design authority and bridge the gap between initial concepts and technical execution. Due to the secure nature of the account, active SC clearance is required.
